Do I need previous HVAC experience?

No. Previous HVAC experience is not required. The HVAC Career Accelerator is designed for motivated, dependable and coachable people who want to build a long-term career. Ted's will provide the technical training, hands-on experience and mentorship needed to develop your skills.

Is the training paid?

Yes. Participants will be paid during the training program. The final starting pay rate or pay range will be shared during the application and interview process.

When does the program begin?

The first HVAC Career Accelerator class is scheduled to begin in September 2026.

How long does the program take?

The program is designed to develop motivated participants into skilled HVAC technicians within approximately 12 months. Progress and advancement will be based on demonstrated technical ability, professionalism, work ethic, customer service and consistent performance. Some participants may progress more quickly than others.

Where will training take place?

Training will include classroom instruction, hands-on labs and supervised field experience within Ted's North Carolina service area. The primary training location will be confirmed before the program begins.

What schedule should I expect?

Participants should expect a full-time training and work schedule that includes classroom learning, hands-on practice and field experience alongside experienced HVAC professionals. The exact schedule, including expected hours and any evening, weekend or on-call requirements, will be shared during the application and interview process.

Do I need a valid driver's license?

A valid driver's license is required because the program includes field experience and travel to customer locations.

Are tools and uniforms provided?

Yes. Ted's plans to provide company uniforms and the professional tools and equipment required for the program. Specific tool policies and any equipment participants are expected to provide personally will be reviewed before the program begins.

Are there physical requirements?

HVAC work can be physically demanding. Participants may be expected to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift and carry equipment, use hand and power tools and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions. The final physical requirements for the role will be included in the official job description and application materials.

What happens after the program?

Participants who successfully complete the program and demonstrate the required technical skills, professionalism, Core Values and performance may be considered for continued employment and advancement as an HVAC technician with Ted's. Completion of the program does not guarantee a specific position, compensation level or advancement timeline.

How many participants will be accepted?
